War of Another Kind

PM Imran Khan’s article in The New York Times… published today

India’s aggression in IOK has agitated and dismayed people of Pakistan. Ordinarily emotional people are charged and clamouring for a military showdown with India. Their demand is justified and perfectly in order but as a student of warfare I can vouch that character of warfare has changed. Those who want to probe further should read the book, “War in 140 Characters” by Patrikarakos. It says in new form of warfare, bullets have been replaced by Tweets and it’s more importat to win battle of narrative than winning physical battle. Social media has provided new tools to wage war. Its war by pen and not by sword. I feel proud in saying that my honourable Prime Minister has waged this different and new kind of war against India. He is fighting the war with his pen. He is building a narrative and unleashing power of pen. Those who are aware of this power need not rely on power of gun. Thanks to Allah we have a leader who calls a spade a spade, who is bold, who plays lot better under pressure, who holds national interest supreme. I am confident he will win the battle of pen and the battle of narrative. Long Live Pakistan. Kashmir will become part of Pakistan. In Sha Allah.

The Marriage

Marriage is one of the most important milestones of a human’s life. It is part of a natural and logical life cycle of a human. The most talked about relationship, marriage is considered as a social contract. It’s like a logo game without instructions. Each marriage demands peculiar set of environment. Marriage mostly turns out to be a rivalry. Even lovers once married become rivals, because both individuals pursue dominance over each other. It is a merger of two totally different species. Male and female are way different, psychologically, physically and temperamentally. The famous book, ‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus’ talks of the same. Once a male and female become partners of life they start treading on a territory unknown to each other. Variations in psychological make up start sprouting as seeds of conflict. In a society like that of Pakistan, besides two individuals contracting marriage, its marriage of two Khandaan (family). Alongside, two individuals two families start interacting with one another. Thus the reasons for conflict multiply. It is always a challenge to keep differences and reasons of conflict under control. Wish these dynamics of marriage are understood by elders as well those who get married to avoid arguments and conflict.

Sense of Judgement

This cartoon appeared in today’s Express Tribune. Initially I thought I was reading an Indian newspaper. I am surprised at sense of judgement of the cartoonist. Should I call it self bashing? More than anything else it’s the moral grounds which should form basis of judging a personality. In physical sense even biggest evil may be a monster. Modi should have been depicted as an ugly evil rather than a mighty wrestler. I feel sorry for understanding of the cartoonist as well as editor of the news paper. Prayers for them.

BJP: A Blessing in Disguise

https://sammilogger.blog/2019/05/24/modi-blessing-or-curse/

I continue to ask this question, Is BJP a blessing or curse for Pakistan? Logically speaking an insane enemy should be seen as a blessing. Why I feel that, is based on my couple of onservations:

a. In 1998, BJP provided us a casus belli for nuclear explosions. If this opportunity was delayed for 3 years ie beyond Sep 11 of 2001, the world powers would have resisted tooth and nail to our nuclear pursuits.

a. In 2017, China and Bhutan developed a conflict over strategically located Chumbi Valley and Doklam. India moved in to support its ally; Bhutan, against China though in it’s own interest, however, itself set a precedent for China to move into Kashmir in support of Pakistan in case of conflict between India and Pakistan.

c. Pakistan has always tried to internationalise Kashmir conflict where as India has always tried to localise it. This time India has itself internationalised the conflict.

d. Pakistan has always justifiable strived to make world beleive that Kashmir is a nuclear flash point and should be addressed. Defence Minister of India has himself reinforced our point of view by raising nuclear ante.

e. Centre of gravity of India lies in secularism. BJP is hurting it the most.

I have strong optimistic beleive that Modi will serve us well and his actions are already getting backfired and will continue to haunt India. In Sha Allah.

How subtly put by my friend Brig Khaleeq uz Zaman as input to my blog

1. Oxygenated Two Nation Theory.
2. Buried funded projects like Aman Ki Aysha.
3. Burial of secular face of India.
4. Polarization in India based on religion, race and creed.
5. Radicalization, lynching mob, rapes, burning villages.
6. Enhanced spying cum terrorism in
Pak, thus exposing Kulbushan like nets.
7. Atrocities in occupied Kashmir thereby igniting freedom movement in youth.
8. Offering opportunity to Pak for hitting the six after revoking Article 370 and 35A.

Theory of Relativity

US Lawmaker Apologises To Indian-Americans Over Letter On Kashmir

Indians Abroad Press Trust of India

Congressman Tom Suozzi, in a letter to Mike Pompeo, had said the action by the government in Kashmir “risks provoking mass social unrest…”

114 years ago Albert Einstein published theory of relativity – purely a scientific theory. What entices me; is its equal application and relevance in social life. One of basic concepts of theory of relativity is that platform of observer and one being observed dictates the findings. For a man standing on a platform, a fly inside a train is in motion at the speed of train however if both are inside the train, they are stationary in relation to each other. In our social life too, its equally important to see who is standing at which platform. Blood of Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine has a different value as compared to blood of Americans or Israelis because both are standing on different platforms. Its a matter of reality, every one defines reality from his own perspective. An action of India is seen through a different prism than the one used to see similar action of a Muslim country. Look at action of honourable Senator of so called enlightened world (cited above). For sake of realpolitik he has chosen to retract from his earlier stance. Thus reality for him has changed over night. Surprising how cruel are the world realities. As I said earlier the world conscience is not expected to awake on call of fascist Modi. It is rather getting into slumber. Dear Pakistanis rely on your self.

A Wakening Call

Each Independence Day we reinforce our resolve to build our beloved motherland. Many a times it is merely a lip service. Through subjugation of people of Kashmir, this time round fascist Modi has given us a wakening call. The call is meant for people of Pakistan and all human kind at large. People of Pakistan have been called to shun lip service and be ready for action and sacrifices. It’s a wakening call for the conscience of the world. Owing to exigencies of “great games” of world powers and double standards the world conscience is not likely to awake. While we continue to seek external support we ought to display self reliance. Our worthy PM has rightly called upon the world, not to appease Modi as they appeased Hitler. Hitler made the world to suffer and so will Modi do if not stopped. World community will only toe this justifiable line if it fits into their scheme of things. We people of Pakistan need to build blocks infront of Modi because he wont stop here. We need to push him back. This is mandatory to build our nation and motherland. Our overt and meaningful support to people of Kashmir is incumbent upon us. Allah may bless us courage and resolve to rise to the challenge. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Bleeding Kashmir

My heart bleeds for my brothers and sisters in Kashmir. I am so emotionally charged that in my personal capacity, I will not hesitate in laying down my life for Kashmiris. Ironically we are up against an enemy who is deceitful, immoral, unethical and mean to the core. Every country has the right to conduct its affairs as they choose, however in comity of nations there is a dignified behaviour. If humans are social animals, nation-states ought not to be a jungle. Israel and India by any standards cannot serve as a role model once collective attitudes are concerned. Both are oppressive, selfish and criminal states. In the global scheme of things these states are gauged on different standards. Since heinous crimes in both these states are directed against Muslims so world looks other way. Why I say that our enemy is mean to the core? It’s because of their displayed meanness. From not upholding promises of elders, to tieing a human infront of jeep for avoiding pelting of stones, to use of pellet guns, to rape, to torture and latest calls to forcefully marry Kashmiri girls. What a shame? A nation who thinks and acts like this cannot be called a civilised nation of 21st century. Beyond Kashmir, in rest of India forcing minorities to abandon their religions, stooping as low as flinching and beating those who eat beef, raping tourists. The attitudes in Kashmir are reflective of overall national psyche of Hindus. However, in pursuit of Mahabaharat, India will implode as minorities are being subjugated and cornered.

MAD (Mutually Assured Destiny)

Undoubtedly, Pakistan has a strategic importance. Ever since its creation, Pakistan has enjoyed a marriage of convenience with the West. Notwithstanding ups and downs of this relationship, still both parties feel comfort and ease in dealing with each other. I was once interacting with an audience in RUSI (London) and a Briton mocked that he was worried China might ride Pakistan. I jokingly quipped, “you have been riding us for 50 years, let China also ride”. I strongly feel our future destiny is linked to China. China is waxing while US is waning. China is our neighbour and US is a distant power. US has been untrustworthy (and is projected to be like that) while China stood by us through thick and thin. US always throws a lustering spanner infront of us whenever, we are on the verge of reorientation. It is always a bait to draw us in. I wish and crave that this time around our bonhomie with the US is not at the cost of relations with China. CPEC is a Godsent opportunity to ensure our future security which will be dictated by economic viability. CPEC is not free of flaws but those do not render it a curse. Its through our bad management that we can convert this blessing into a curse. Allah may bless us to stay the course.
